MEOW CRAFT

Hi, I’m Mehnaz, and I live in beautiful Mauritius, where I work as a Software Engineer. My crafting journey began during university when I first saw my lecturer using a fountain pen. I was instantly fascinated and started researching different fountain pens on YouTube. As I dove deeper into the world of fountain pens, I was introduced to other creative pursuits, such as copperplate calligraphy and brush lettering. This sparked my passion for personalized cards, and I started creating them for friends on special occasions. My search for DIY card-making tutorials led me to discover the vast and vibrant world of paper crafting.

Soon, I found myself watching inspiring crafters like Jennifer McGuire and Yana Smakula, who opened my eyes to a whole new world of crafting. I became enchanted by the creative process and started collecting tools like a die-cutting machine, dies, and eventually a glimmer hot foil system with glimmer plates. Today, I am thrilled to have most of the tools a crafter needs to bring my card-making visions to life, and I can't wait to share my crafting journey with you!

Now, you must be wondering why I chose the name Meow Craft. Well, I’m lucky to have a husband who supports my crafting passion more than I support myself. He constantly encourages me to craft and explore new ideas. Since he’s a huge cat lover, we came up with the name Meow Craft together. It’s a little nod to his love for cats and my creative journey, blending both our worlds into something meaningful and as well as a reminder of how much he believes in me and my creative journey. I’m grateful for his constant support, and I hope this blog reflects that same warmth and creativity.
